Happy 4th of July!

Instead of having a big backyard barbeque and such my mother, older brother, and I went shopping at Robinson's May. It wasn't great, but it was something. The sad part is that Robinson's May isn't the same anymore since Macy's bought it, and it also won't be around for long. Supposedly they're going to make the old Robinson's May into the new Macy's while the old Macy's will be another expensive store like Bloomingdales which in my opinion sucks. If they do that then they'll be no reason for me to go to the mall anymore -- Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and all those others stores are too expensive for me ... *sigh* I wish they'd at least put a Target or something, that would be WAY BETTER than another overpriced department store (which no ones go to by the way.) Oh well I guess ...

In other news I just heard that Italy beat Germany. I didn't see the game, but I guess it was a pretty good match. It sucks that Brazil didn't make it, but hopefully Italy will win it.^^ My mom's all sad right now cause she wanted Germany to win.

Which also reminds me, shopping with my mom is sooo draining. She bugs the hell out of me and she knows it. I think she gets some twisted kick out of it too ...

Mom: You know, instead of buying almost $100 worth of clothes for you I should be sending it to my dad. (My mom's dad lives in mexico and he has a tumor in his eye)
Me: (knowing she's only saying it to get me mad) No, you shouldn't. He's old and he's gonna die soon, but I'm your daughter and I'm still young.
Mom: You could die too, then those clothes would go to waste.
Me: But mom!

*sigh* The whole day was like that. She critized me, glared at me, and bossed me around while I tried to bug her right back. However, when she gets out of hand I tend to tell her this ...

Me: I have no mother.
Mom: Oh really? What happened to her?
Me: She stopped being my mom a long time ago so she's dead to me now.
Mom: Well then, I guess you don't have a home either since you don't have a mother.
Me: Ergh, mom. >_>
Mom: ^_^

What really pisses her off is when I say this though ...

Me: Mom, what would you do if I got run over by a bus tomorrow? Would you even care?
Mom: Shut up! Don't talk like that!
Me: You know, it could happen since I don't really look at where I'm going. Like this one time this car almost ran me over --
Mom: For being stupid! That's why you need to graduate high school and get a career!
Me: -blinks- What does that have to do with me getting run over?
Mom: Everything! Now shut up -- my novela's on!
Me: -sulkily- Okay ...

Aw, but I love my mother to death ... Although she can at times get on my nerves.^^

Wooo, I'm gonna go watch some old Ranma episodes now, and bug my mom some more!

Hehehe... That reminds me of my mother and I when I was in high school and she'd take me shopping. Some days I was sure we'd kill each other!

And Dave & Buster's was lots of fun. I ended up playing lots of games, eating good food, and finally getting my margarita of choice! And a Long Island iced tea... I was a tad bit... nutty. ^_^ Imagine trying to play the Daytona racing game when you're tipsy; I wasn't exactly accurate. As I recall, I kept slamming into the wall (in the game, that is), screaming and laughing like a hyena. I'm a quiet person, but when I'm tipsy, I get super loud. Hehehe...

As for Gundam Seed, I highly recommend the first show. I don't know about Destiny... I've been hearing a mix of opinions. I think I'm just going to get it and find out for myself whether it's good or not. My hopes are high, so I hope it's not too big of a disappointment. Still, you should watch the first series if you ever get the chance. ^_^
Whoa, sounds like you had a wild night, and a big "yay!!" for the margarita of choice.^^ I myself just had a regular margarita yesterday with my family when we went to eat at El Torito -- they have GREAT food over there. My family and I even went there to celebrate my sister's graduation last year ...

Those racing games are awesome though -- last time me and my friends played it people were staring at us cause we were being so loud. XD But at the Dave & Buster's where I live we'll be there late at night and so would parents with their kids, and I mean late at night like at 1: 00 a.m. Bad parents.

Hmm ... I talked to my older brother about getting Gundam Seed but I don't think he's interested ... I think I will buy it someday though.

By the way, my mom and sister both laugh like a couple of hyena's. Their laugh even made my little brother cry once. XD Good times.
Mmm... El Torito... sounds yummy. Mexican food is my number one favourite; I eat it like it's going out of style. :)

I wouldn't quite call my night wild, since I was the only one who was noticeably tipsy. One of my guy friends that came to D & B is pretty lightweight, though; he had one beer and was acting all goofy. We didn't find that all strange, since he's always goofy, but he claimed it was the alcohol... riiiight. =P

Those racing games were definitely the highlight of the evening for me... that, and using tickets to buy this deformed-looking stuffed toy cow that, I swear, only looks like a cow if you actually are drunk. I named him "Moo La Flaga" after the Gundam Seed pilot of the same name (except he spells it "Mu"... hehe).

Oh, and I also noticed that parents were there super late with their little kids. What are they, nuts? It always boggles me when parents do things like that. Little kids need to be in bed by seven or eight, nine at the latest, not parading around D & B till 1 am. It's ridiculous! You know what also bugs me? When parents bring their little kids to graphic action movies. Movies have ratings for reasons, people!

Oh, and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in the world who laughs like a crazed hyena. =D I almost laughed reading that your mom's and sister's laugh made your little brother cry; hehe, that's priceless. ^_^

I LOVE mexican food ... I just don't like it spicy at all. My opinion might be biased since I am mexican but what can I say? It's good food.^^ Quesadillas all the way!

Those games are fun, but I hate how you'll get all these tickets and only be able to buy a small toy with them ...

Some Dude: You can get a slinky.
Me: ;_; But I won like a hundred tickets ...
Some Dude: Then you can get a plastic slinky.
Me: Waaa ...
My sister: >_< Just get the damn slinky and let's go.

Ah, "Moo La Faga" reminded me of my sister. For some weird reason she LOVES cows (her screen name is "pretty cow") and one day she brought home a ten dollar toy cow. You squeezed a button and it would "moo." Heh, she lied and said she had bought it for my little brother ...

My sister: Look! It "moo's"!
My little brother: ... It don't like it, it's ugly.
My sister: Oh ... Then I can keep it?!

lol. And, yeah I hate the parents that bring their kids to R rated movies. When I went to see Kill Bill some lady brought her baby and it cried throughout the whole movie ... Then there was the lady when I went to see Superman -- she refused to leave and instead let her kid cry ... Waaa, bad parents.

Yay, old episodes of "Boy Meets World" -- I love that show.^^

I'm a little biased when it comes to Hispanic foods in general... being part Portuguese with a bunch of other European mixed in, that's about as Hispanic as I get! But I have a real taste for Mexican food... I could go for some right now... Mmmm ^_^

I agree, it's completely ridiculous how you have to have an uber amount of tickets to win anything decent at D & B... though my cow was only 330, and it's fairly large (by the way, your sister and I must be alike- cows are my favourite animal, too!). It also cracks me up that they actually have TVs and video game consoles as prizes... like what kind of moron is going to actually try to earn 50,000 tickets for something like that when they can just go to Wal-Mart and buy it? It's sooo dumb...

Funny that you mentioned Superman. I went on July 4th, so the theater was packed, and my boyfriend and I ended up sandwiched by this little kid and his parents. He had to be five, six at the oldest, and he was scared in parts, too. Heck, I was scared sometimes! And this little kid just sat there, wide-eyed, occasionally letting out a whimper. That kid is gonna be sooo desensitized to violence when he gets older.

Oooh, and I loooove old Boy Meets World episodes; that show was the greatest!

Oops, that last comment was me... I just forgot to log in. What a noob, hehehe... ^_^
Yeah, Mexican food is awesome … I wish I could have some right now, but my mom’s getting lazy and doesn’t want to make anything. We had some pizza last night, so she just wants to heat that up. XD

I know! Why would anyone go through all that trouble to get one of those small TV’s when you could just buy one? ... At one point though I was actually thinking of buying a small Hello Kitty TV – it looked so cute. ^_^ By the way, I like Wal-Mart but I’ve only been there a few times … My favorite place to go is Best Buy, that’s where I bought my laptop.

I didn’t hear any kids whimpering in Superman, but I did hear a few in King Kong. This little girl at first kept bugging her dad about where King Kong was when those creepy people came on screen and she started crying. I felt bad for her, but I guess I’m no better … I got the bootlegged version of King Kong and decided to watch it with my three year old little brother, he got scared but I told him that scary part was almost over so he sat through it with me. XD Later on my sister and mom got mad at me for letting him watch it, but he’s watched worse with his dad – like The Grudge, and Chucky.

And those old episodes of Boy Meets World are awesome, makes me even miss Smart Guy – that was a good show too.
Oh my gosh, Chucky? Are you serious? You've got one brave little brother! A few summers ago I showed the cartoon movie, "The Last Unicorn," to my little cousin, who was seven at the time. She got scared and I felt sooo bad. Here I thought a cartoon was a safe bet! When I was a little kid, I had no trouble watching horror movies; now I'm a big scaredy cat. >^.^<

Smart Guy was a good show, too - right up there with Sister, Sister. Did you ever watch Step By Step? I swear, the best shows were on in the '90s. :)

Hehehehe ... Yeah, he actually had nightmares for weeks afterward. The worst I think was The Grudge though -- he would wake up in the middle of the night crying about some long haired girl that wanted to kill him. XD Poor Leo, he's gonna be one messed up kid thanks to his parenting. Oh well.^^

I used to be and will always be a scaredy cat. When I was little my older brother would play Resident Evil and I'd be too scared to move (especially since he loved to play it at night) so I'd end up going to sleep thinking some zombie was gonna come crashing through my window and eat me (my bed is right next to a VERY large window.) Recently though I heard of a rumor where some guy killed himself on the set of the Wizard of Oz and I freaked myself out so bad I couldn't sleep for two or three days ... Waaaa, everyone laughed at me. XD

Ooooh, and yes '90s shows were awesome. Today I was watching an episode of Seinfeld and I dearly miss it. Ah, Sister, Sister is THE best though -- I still watch it whenever they have it on the Disney channel. Go home, Roger! lol. Who knew Roger would grow up and become an R&B singer. I sure didn't ...

Me: OMG!! That's Roger?! He looks --
My sister: Hot?
Me: Buff. When did he start working out?

And I vaugely remember Step by Step, but I know they still play it on ABC Family along with Boy Meets World, and I think Family Matters ... They also used to play Cruel Intensions practically every night -- I love that movie death so I had to see it every time they had it on TV. I even have the ending song from the movie -- "Bittersweet Symphony" is just fabulous. ^_^
Hahaha.... The whole Roger thing cracks me up. I was shocked he became an R&B singer, too. It's kind of creepy. o_O
